Congratulations to Melissa Lindon who has received her Registered Yoga Teacher 500 hour certification. This advanced certification comes from Yoga Alliance, which is the organization that sets measurable standards for yoga instruction in the United States. Teachers certified at the 500-hour level have done extensive study in yoga asanas, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, and yogic philosophy. With this advanced certification, Melissa joins the ranks of Greenbelt Om's Carol Mermey, Carol Iverson, and Debbie Martin. Melissa teaches Yoga Basics at 10:15 on Friday mornings, and Lunchtime Yoga on Fridays at noon.
Metro DC Kirtan makes its home at Greenbelt Om Community Yoga every other Sunday with a free (donation-only) community kirtan that's open to all for participation or just for sitting back and enjoying.
